Objectives/purpose of the job:


  • Lead initiatives for developing domain capabilities.

  • Engage with leadership to define domain capability development strategy, generate buy-in, rally internal and external stakeholders towards building the right domain capabilities.

  • Define domain skills and capabilities required across various audience segments.

  • Own needs assessment, design and development, sourcing of learning partners, deployment, and measurement of learning and talent programs for domain capabilities.

  • Manage the change program to institutionalize domain capabilities, targeting differentiated needs across various audience segments.

  • Identify, source, and deploy tools, systems, and resources needed by the company for ongoing development of domain capabilities.

  • Plan and deploy domain capability development curriculum, certifications, and calendar, develop new learning materials with domain capability as an outcome.

  • Manage domain Community of Practice to promote ongoing learning by leveraging the network for best practices, new idea generation and vetting, sharing of relevant templates/case studies/documents, and spark relevant discussions and point-of-view.

  • Curate learning resources on domain capabilities from the open ecosystem available online and offline; define clear and structured learning paths from curated assets; deploy and track.

  • Drive domain thought leadership through focused research, articles, case studies, industry interactions, and point-of-view sessions both internally and externally by EXL leaders.

Role and Responsibilities:

Primary Internal Interactions:

  • Employees, for designing and developing training solutions.
  • Managers and leaders, for identifying training needs and follow-up.
  • CD Team, for up-skilling and certification of trainers.
  • Supervisor, for reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, seeking feedback and support, settling unresolved issues, monthly performance evaluation, updating training curriculum, trainer certification, ongoing audits, and feedback.

Primary External Interactions:

  • Business/Clients, for seeking feedback and incorporating it into training modules, as needed.
  • Institute partners of CD for managing and running programs.
  • Vendors, for any material/service availed.

Required experience and qualification:

  • Speed, agility, and initiative.
  • Quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Efficiency and effectiveness (result-orientation).
  • Training delivery and certification of trainers.
  • Adherence to internal standards.
  • Adherence to timelines.
  • Interaction with clients/customers at an appropriate level to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
