Objectives/purpose of the job:

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for making sure that our data and processes in public cloud platforms are safe and controlled. This will prevent our application workloads from being exposed to unintended uses of services. You will use a variety of technologies and services offered by cloud environments, as well as your own creative thinking, to solve complex technical and security challenges.

We are looking for candidates who are curious, passionate, and excited about cloud security. You should be willing to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Implement and automate a security and governance framework for our cloud environments.
2. Collaborate with level 2 and 3 SOC analysts to interpret cloud security logs and provide additional data to enrich cloud-related security incidents.
Provide leadership to enable automation/integration across hybrid processing environments.
3. Conduct tests on services from a security and risk standpoint and create an access management framework.
4. Implement processes to minimize downtime, including monitoring, testing, and incident analysis.
5. Implement policies to minimize security risks, such as auditing and least privilege.
6. Understand and recommend ways to strengthen the security of proposed solutions.
7. Ensure service availability and continuity by responding to threat incidents and requests.
8. Work in an Agile/Scrum product operating model.

Required experience and qualification:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required: Bachelor's degree with at least four years of work experience.
• At least six years of relevant work experience.
• At least four years of experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, SNS, etc.).
• Experience with Cloud Security & Governance practices and frameworks.
• Experience with basic scripting languages like Python, Bash, Go, Terraform, etc.
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitLab, Docker, etc.
